Lexington, KY (April 13, 2011) – The United States Dressage Federation (USDF) is proud to announce that Sarah Geikie, of Lebanon, CT, is the first person to complete the instructor certification program and go on to become a USDF Certification Examiner.
Sarah, who holds a Bachelors of Science degree in animal science and is a British Horse Society assistant instructor, became a USDF Fourth Level certified instructor in 1995.  As a firm believer in continuing education, she went on to become a member of the USDF instructor certification faculty.  Sarah has also earned her USDF bronze and silver medals.  In 2007, Sarah was promoted to FEI "C" dressage-judge status and this year the popular clinician has become a USDF certification examiner.
"Not only is Sarah a shining example for our program, but she also trains and shows horses through the FEI levels and officiates as a USEF ‘S' and FEI ‘C' judge as well," said Gerhard Politz, chair of the USDF Instructor/Trainer Committee and a longtime examiner.
Katherine Robertson, USDF Senior Education Programs Coordinator, added "Sarah has been involved in many aspects of the program over the years.  Having been through the program, Sarah will bring a new dimension to our team of examiners."
